about us
The Yellow Umbrella Foundation is a Sex-Ed. initiative that believes in promoting and strengthening social and emotional learning through Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE), which we deliver through age-appropriate, fun, interactive workshops to children, young adults and educators.

We are a safe space that enables exploration and open dialogue through early and regular interventions. We hope to create an empathetic and just world where all genders have equal access to information on their bodies and their rights.

Why Sex-Ed.?

-
Learning about consent early on in life helps us create and respect boundaries and form healthy relationships.
-
Awareness about all bodies and their rights helps us develop agency and ownership of our bodies and rights. It becomes easier for adolescents to navigate physical, emotional and social changes during puberty if they are equipped with knowledge of what's to come.
-
Understanding and exploring the spectrums of sex, gender and sexuality helps shape our identity while being respectful towards others' identities.
-
Awareness about sexual health and reproductive rights helps us make informed choices and strengthen our relationships with open and honest communication.
-
Understanding concepts from a scientific lens helps us question myths, stigmas and stereotypes.
-
Responsible creation and consumption of media helps normalise healthy behaviours and dismiss problematic notions that perpetuate stigma and stereotypes.
